Regee's "Coconut Kitchen" was on full display at the Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) which we attended yesterday. It was in the National Book Store exhibit and the Anvil Publishing exhibit at the vast SMX Convention Center in Manila.
When we went to look at the book on the shelves and were taking photos, a young culinary student approached Regee to ask if she was the author of the "Coconut Kitchen" book she had just bought. So, here is the photo of the first known (to us) purchaser, Joanna, and the first book that Regee signed at the MIBF.
I don't know who was more excited--Regee or Joanna! Click on "Read more" below to see a few more photos.
A whole bookshelf of recent Anvil Food publications. Can you see "Coconut Kitchen"?
Anvil's author "display booth" which promotes social media exposure
Regee with Gwenn Valdez who was her main sponsor at Anvil Publishing at the outset and principally responsible for making the book "happen". Gwenn has now retired but is still active as a consultant in the book and digital publishing world.

All smiles with her book finally on the National Bookstore shelves
