One Night in Bangkok by "King and I" Cast Members at Bistro Bistro

Last night Regee, my good self, Sarah and Paul went to see Jose and other members of the "King & I" cast  perform "One Night in Bangkok" at a Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS charity event at the Bistro Bistro Restaurant in D.C.
It was a tremendous evening, replete with two numbers sung by Jose and a variety of dancing, singing and an unbelievable gymnastic pole dancing performance.
While the lighting was not the best for photographs, have a look at a few more photos by clicking on "Read more" below.

Regee, Sarah and Paul just before the show

A sweet duet by the Braganza sisters
Amaya and Adriana (Ensemble)

Bistro Bistro was packed

The kids of the cast had their own act

Jose and Manna Nichols (Tuptim) descend for their duet
from the musical "Ordinary Days"

Graham (Louis) belts out a song

Michelle Liu Coughlin (Ensemble) and Joan Almedilla (Lady Thiang
perform a beautiful duet

A non-singing/non-dancing duo!  Is my face really that fat?
Must be an optical illusion and bad lighting!

Sam Simahk (Ensemble) sings a complex and
intriguing song which he composed

Jose bravely performed his "erection" song from "Spelling Bee"
which brought the house down. (Remember explaining that to Katrin and Nina)?

A gymnastic feat of pole dancing by
Rommel Pierre O'Choa (Simon of Legree)

Proud of her boy!

It should be remembered that all the performers rehearsed and mounted the show on their one day off (Monday) and raised more than $5000 for "Broadway Cares". It was a wonderful show and a most generous use of their precious time.

Kudos to our "King and I" troupe at Bistro Bistro.
