PUSH HARD AGAINST ADVERSE WINDS, AND DON'T TAKE YOURSELF TOO SERIOUSLY.

Last Morning at Pawleys Island

I got up early on the last morning and took a few quick photos of Pawleys Island, the marshes and the beach at about 6 a.m.  There was an epic sky when I first got there but then it clouded over.

The incoming tide was slowly filling up the marshes and the little channels among the grass where kayakers would go out fishing early morning--but none in evidence this morning.

It was very calm and there was only one lady on the beach.  I will miss the slow pace of life down there--compared to the fast-paced madness of Falls Church!

Looking across the marshes to Pawleys Island

 The old Pelican Inn

They really build right on the beach.  Have they heard about climate change?

Every house has a little “gazebo” and pier on the back end of the Island

As empty as it gets!
