Finlay's 7th Birthday

I went across to England in early March for my great nephew Finlay's 7th Birthday. The birthday cake you see there was made by his Mum.  Wow!

England was still a bit chilly but I really lucked out with the weather--mainly sunshine! Brother Mike and I did quite a bit of walking which was good because we also did quite a lot of eating and drinking!

Here are a few photos of that trip.  Click on "Read more" below to see them.

Finlay is crazy about heavy machinery and diggers!

My sister in law Maureen takes a spin on Finlay's new bike!

Brother Mike and my nephew Alexander with his two daughters Paige and Eleanor.

Finlay's Mum, Becky, and Maureen 2 on the far right, Maureen's best friend.

Finlay's Dad, Steve

Janet (Alex's wife) and Wendy (Steve's Mum)

On Fridays, Finlay comes to Mike and Maureen's house for the day.  He loves it!

Mike in a Spitfire at the Biggins Hill Museum where the last few flying Spitfires are kept.

An old square Brigantine called The Lady of Avenel.

Our lovely Becky.

The two Maureens.  They have been on all sorts of travels together and are hilarious.

Mike is 8 years older than me but, darn it, he looks younger!!

The whole Newport Family at the Six Bells Pub in Boreham, Essex.

Alexander was trying out a new electric bike.  Mike and I had a go--it was electrifying!

Mike and Becky watch Finlay's soccer match on Saturday morning.

Finlay loves to play goalie but also plays other positions.
Veronica and Max would have a lot to talk about with Finlay!
