You may think that these Annual Road Trips are all about fishing. Wrong. Quite apart from sitting around talking about politics, fishing, back pains, fishing, basketball, fishing, weather and fishing, we are engaged in multiple other activities as you will see from the following photos.

Rich shows us his Horse Whisperer skills--putting Mary Kay through her paces in the paddock.
Rich and Wayne challenged Kirstine and her friend, Kay Lynne, to a tennis match at their High School.
There's life in these old boys yet! With back braces, knee bands and other supports, they played a magnificent game. The girls gave them a good run around but age overcame youth. Kudos to the Ancients!
We don't buy guns but we do have to go into these big sports shops to buy worms. I felt a bit stupid asking for Nightcrawlers instead of an Uzi.
We took time off to explore the countryside around Lake Conconully. The walk was good after all the sitting around in the boat.
No, we did not go dirt dragging but we can still dream!
Schatz wanted to shoot these rapids off Lake Conconully but we persuaded him to walk around instead.
You can see why I prefer to be behind the camera! This was a vast meadow up in the Okanogan State Forest.
We take an active interest in the history of the places we visit.
Naturally, we try to taste some of the local brews. The Kokanee Ale was almost as good as the fish themselves.
Back home, we enjoyed cigar night with Wayne providing some fine tobacco from Havana
We keep an eye out for birds nests. These eggs belong to a Killdeer (plover) which likes to build its nest near water, in this case near Bussard Lake.
We carefully read signs in shop windows to see how far into Trumpland we really are. Real deep according to this sign!
Rich and I had lunch in this milk bar from his childhood in Spokane. They do great hamburgers and huckleberry milk shakes.
And when we run out of things to do we just take a nap with Cody and Johnny.
