The Newports' Christmas Lunch

We gathered at Jane's house for our Christmas lunch.  Sarah, Paul, me, Suzanne and Kevin gathered around the festive board and consumed vast quantities of food (not to mention 3 bottles of wine)!

Paul steadies the cook who had been testing the wine in the morning.

Jane cooked the superb Aussie lamb and created a lovely salad; Sarah prepared the two types of sweet potato; I was responsible for the Brussels sprouts and hazelnut butter; and Paul baked an enormous GF mince pie with pears and chocolate which was amazing.  There was also flaming Christmas pudding but that was eaten much later after Rummikube games!

Sarah and Paul tuck in.

From L to R, Kevin, Suzanne, Sarah, Paul, Jane and Richard partake in present opening. Isn't that what Christmas is all about?

Paul's enormous pie. We don't need to eat for another week!!

And a good time was had by all.....
