Rock Creek Park

Last Saturday, Paul took his Mum, Sarah and me to the northern part of Rock Creek Park.  I have only driven along the southern part and was not prepared for how big the "Creek" was at the northern end. There was a really great Nature Center up there along with the only planetarium in the National Park service.  Paul had "discovered" this area on one of his cycle rides, as he lives in nearby Cleveland Park.

This part of Rock Creek Park has white water
when the Creek is really running

The Nature Center displays all the flora
and fauna found in Rock Creek Park

Here are some photos of the intrepid walkers (it was a really hot day but we were in the shade most of the time) and some examples of the wildlife that you can find in the Park (all displayed in the Nature Center).
