Jose’s new CD entitled “Altitude” was dropped into our mail box yesterday and has been playing non-stop ever since! The new CD will be launched at Joe’s Pub on May 16 at The Public Theater but is also currently on sale at the Vivian Beaumont Theater at the Lincoln Center where Jose is currently performing as the King (again) in The King and I.

Sadly, I will be heading out West on May 16 for our Annual Road Trip (all good things seem to come at once these days). BUT, Regee will be heading up to New York for that weekend and meeting up with Patricia, Adrian, Veronica and Max for the CD launch.
Without being in any way biased, the songs selected on the CD are truly wondrous; and represent some of the best and most beautiful songs and shows of his 20 year career on Broadway. Have a look below at the songs included on the CD.
One little factoid: we went to see Jose perform as LUN THA on the opening night (April 11, 1996) of the 1996 revival of The King and I when he was just short of 20 years old.
We will go to see Jose perform as THE KING in the 2015 revival of The King and I on April 29, 2016 when he will be just short of 40 years old. Twenty years!!
Those years seem to have flown by very quickly and I think we have managed to see just about every one of his shows--some of them two or three times!!
