We had three birthdays in two days. Regee and Jose share May 5. Max just missed joining them by one day and decided to have his very own birthday on May 6. Imagine if he had arrived on May 5. Regee and Jose would never have had another birthday!
As Jose was not going to be here on May 5, we had a birthday dinner last Saturday when he was in Boston with Erik for Veronica’s ballet recital. Regee had cooked a lot of Filipino dishes (including Jose’s beloved callos) and the meal and birthday cake were washed down with some bubbly.

Max will be having his birthday party this Saturday but we had some presents and a birthday “cake” with candles last night on his actual birthday. Dunkin Donuts has cornered the birthday market up here in Boston!

I took Regee for a birthday lunch on May 5 at a fantastic Japanese restaurant called Oishii in South Boston.
Here is the birthday girl and some photos of the amazing lunch we had at Oishii.
