Great Falls: Cold and Misty

I know, I know.  I am always being told that this must be the 135th photo of Great Falls.  But to the observant eye, there is always something a little bit different each time.

Or maybe you just have to be there to experience the roar of rushing water, the exhilarating ozone high and the mystery of early morning with herons flying overhead.  Then again, maybe your brain is just as numb as your frozen feet and you don’t remember taking the same photos 135 times before!

With apologies, here are the 136th and 137th photos of the Potomac tributaries near Great Falls in flood.

After the snow and rain yesterday, Great Falls on the Maryland side, was somewhat swollen, misty and freezing cold at 7 am.  But by 5 pm, it was 61F.  Our weather is truly all over the place.
